Team USA wore these blue Nike uniforms during one of the two exhibition matches
against Canada in August 1996 and then again during the tournament on September
3 against Slovakia. USA easily handled the Slovaks with a final score of 9-3.
The jersey is tagged in the collar by Nike with its inventory bar code
heat-pressed into the inner lower hem. All numbers, lettering and cresting are
sewn on and the World Cup of Hockey Patch sits up on the left shoulder.
Mike Richter, Team USA's goaltending star of the 1996 World Cup of Hockey, took
a breather for the September 3rd match-up against the Slovaks, allowing teammate
Guy Hebert to take up the netminding reigns. Mike dressed for the game and sat
on the bench as the back-up while wearing this blue Knit airknit, tagged in the
neck in size 56. His number "35" appears on the back and sleeves but the jersey
displays little to no game use. Comes with a letter of authenticity from the
NHLPA.

Devils defenseman Shawn Chambers made the roster for the September 3rd match
against Slovkia and it turned out be be his only ice time of the series. Shawn
wore this blue Team USA uniform that night, picking up a light mark on the right
cuff during game action. Number "28", tagged in size 56. Comes with a letter of
authenticity from the NHLPA.

Offered is the white set of uniforms worn by members of
Team Canada for the games of the 1996 World Cup of Hockey. This set was worn for
a single game in the series, played on September 7th, 1996 against Sweden in a
hard-fought 3-2 victory for Canada. The jerseys were also worn in one of the two
pre-tournament exhibition match-ups against the Americans played on August 20th
in Vancouver and August 21st in San Jose, California. According to those who
attended the exhibition games, they were intense, on-ice battles that
foreshadowed what would come in the Finals. Each white Bauer airknit is tagged
by the maker in the collar with a size tag nearby and the company logo sewn up
on the right breast. Best is the circular World Cup of Hockey crest on the
chest. All crests, numbers and nameplate lettering are sewn-on and the Bauer
inventory control tag is heat-pressed into the tail. Each jersey will come
complete with a letter of authenticity from the NHLPA.
Lyle Odelein's pre-tournament jersey worn as a member of Team Canada in
exhibition play prior to the 1996 World Cup of Hockey. Lyle did play in two
tournament matches but both were in games where Team Canada wore red. Tagged by
Bauer in size 56 with about 20 smaller stick marks and board burns throughout.
